BIG MONEY OPEN RACES AND INTERNET TICKETING ON OFFER AT HORSEHEATH ON EASTER SATURDAY
The Puckeridge Point-To-Point at Horseheath, near Haverhill, on Easter Saturday, March 26th, features a pair of highly valuable Open Races and, for the first time in East Anglia, the chance to buy discounted advance tickets via the internet.
The Mens Open and Ladies Open races have both had their prize money more than doubled since last year, and are now each worth £1,000 - the maximum amount that the rules allow. Entries for the meeting will be taken by the Point-To-Point Racing Company until 12.30pm on Monday March 21st.
The regular on-the-day admission price for this fixture is £10 per adult with under 17s allowed in for free.
However, racegoers can purchase discounted e-tickets by using the website www.eventbrite.co.uk. On this website's home page, simply type the word 'Horseheath' into the search box and you will be able to buy tickets for just £6.47.
The meeting will get under way at 12.30pm with two pony races. The first of six steeplechases will come under starters orders at 1.30pm and the finale will take place at 4.25pm.
As well as the racing, this event offers a family day out with a funfair, trade stands, a public bar and food stalls.
Horseheath Racecourse is close to the village of the same name between Haverhill and Linton in Cambridgeshire. The A1307 offers easy vehicular access to the venue at post code CB21 4QF.
